Wastewater Treatment Plants

Bartın University has established effective wastewater management systems suitable for the needs of its campuses. Wastewater produced from the Ulus and Kurucaşile campuses is directed to the municipal sewerage system for advanced treatment. This cooperation ensures that the wastewater from these campuses is processed in compliance with high environmental standards.

At the Ağdacı and Kutlubey campuses, the university operates its own wastewater treatment plants. These facilities ensure the high-quality treatment of wastewater, guaranteeing that the discharged water is within the permitted limits. This treatment process is designed to meet sustainable wastewater management needs.

The package treatment plant at Kutlubey Campus discharges the treated water into a stream, and this water is an alternative water source for irrigating plants within the campus. In addition, the discharged water is also used for recharging underground water resources, which contributes to the efficient use of water resources.

The wastewater treatment plant at the Ağdacı Campus also discharges its treated water into a small stream, thus contributing to water recycling and strengthening the university's sustainable water management practices. These initiatives demonstrate Bartın University's proactive approach to ensuring proper wastewater management and promoting environmental responsibility.
