Projects

Climate Change Related Projects:

  • Development of a Remote Sensing-Based Algorithm for the Analysis of Ecological Conditions, Land Use/Land Cover Changes, and Climate Change Adaptation Capacities of Turkey's Mountain Ecosystems:

    • Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1001 project, conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ayhan Ateşoğlu, information about the results of the process will be obtained by evaluating the ecological conditions of Turkey's mountain ranges in line with the climate change adaptation process.

    • The main goal of the project is to monitor and evaluate the process of mountain ecosystems that are under the influence of global climate change and human activities. The aim of the project is to present new guiding data and information for decision-makers by tracking the positive/negative trends of the ecological conditions of mountain ecosystems, in line with sustainable development goals.

  • Investigation of the Hydro-Mechanical Behavior of Rain-Triggered Landslides through Instrumental Field Observation Studies:

    • The project, prepared under the supervision of Research Assistant Serdar Allı within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1002-Rapid Support Program, aims to clarify the hydro-mechanical behavior of rain-triggered landslides and contribute to landslide early warning systems. Within the scope of these studies, the reliable predictability of the timing of rain-triggered landslides will be analyzed using real landslide cases.

For detailed information: Landslides will be reliably predicted days in advance (10.12.2020)
