Our Protocols Related to Climate Change:

*A protocol was signed with the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) within the scope of the project aiming to reduce flood and drought risks:

  • A protocol was signed by BARÜ and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry State Hydraulic Works (DSİ), within the scope of the project titled "Climate Change Adaptation Strategies: Reducing the Risks of Floods and Water Scarcity in Bartın," which includes the Bartın Governorship Provincial Special Administration and the Bartın Municipality as project partners.

*Cooperation Protocol for Creating a Sustainable and Climate-Friendly Campus:

  • The "Cooperation Protocol for Creating a Sustainable and Climate-Friendly Campus," which covers energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainability, and nature-compatible activities in university campuses, was signed at a ceremony held at the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

*Protocol for Determining the Biomass and Carbon Stock Quantity of Küre Mountains National Park:

  • A protocol on "Determining the Biomass and Carbon Stock Quantity of Küre Mountains National Park" was signed between our University and the 10th Regional Directorate of the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

  • Thus, it is aimed to determine the effects on greenhouse gas emissions during the climate change process in Küre Mountains National Park, a member of PANPARKS (The Network of European Distinguished National Parks) and one of the 9 biodiversity hotspots in Turkey that require conservation.
