"Intelligent Energy Management System for Smart University" Workshop Completed
Within the scope of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Technical Support Project (YEVDES) of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, "Intelligent Energy Management System for Smart University" workshop was held on 06.11.2020.A workshop was held at our university within the scope of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Technical Assistance Project (YEVDES) financed by the European Union by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. YEVDES Project Team Leader Zoran Morvaj, project manager Dr. Lecturer Eyüp Burak Ceyhan and Dr. Lecturer Ersin Alaybeyoğlu, Assoc. Dr. Hatice Yıldız Durak, Dr. Lecturer Bayram Dündar, and Dr. Lecturer Mahir Gülen were attended.
The success of our university in the field of energy efficiency was mentioned.
Giving information about the details of the project and talking about the achievements of our university in the field of energy efficiency, Dr. Lecturer Ceyhan said, “Our university has achieved great success in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency in recent years. In our project, which is one of these achievements, we will develop an intelligent system that will be very useful in terms of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Within the scope of this project, we are continuing our studies on "Intelligent Systems", which is also within the specialization field of our university. "
'Smart Energy Management System' will be developed
Stating that they will develop a mobile system supported by artificial intelligence, Dr. Lecturer Ceyhan said, “The rooms, classrooms, corridors, toilets, stairs etc. in universities. Artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IOT) technology will be used in the energy management of the fields. With desktop, mobile and web-based software to be developed with these technologies, "Ventilation", "Lighting" and "Heating" systems can be managed efficiently and maximum energy efficiency will be achieved by including energy from renewable energy sources into this cycle. In this way, the budget that our university spends on energy consumption will be significantly reduced.
